Genta Carter was born during a midsummer lightening storm in Moline, IL to a second generation funeral family. She was curious by all things human: classical arts, emergency medicine, show business... So she studied: Life! Death! & Comedy! (mostly by choice).
Confident in her survival skills, she spent a decade exploring the world until she landed in a Los Angeles restaurant taking pictures of food. Today, she photographs for award winning chefs to capture their vision & artistic expression (assertively by choice).
Genta believes that food should be desired, presented in a way that flirts with your senses, and creates a lusting narrative that makes you say, "OMG, I wanna EAT THAT!" (with manners).
